Finding affordable legal advice and trying to navigate through the complicated legal system can be a frustrating and even daunting task.
First AME Church of Los Angeles is here to help and is providing Sunday Free Legal Clinics to low-income individuals and disadvantaged communities for a variety of legal problems, including consumer, family disputes, welfare and health benefits, immigration and poverty law issues such as landlord/tenant disputes, disability support and family benefits payments, worker’s compensation, trust/will/probate issues, bankruptcy/credit issues, personal injury, criminal and criminal record advice and more.
The Legal Clinic, a collaboration between the First AME Church (FAME), the Temple Isaiah, Public Counsel and the UCLA School of Law, is supported by the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Foundation and several other prestigious local Bar Associations. Our paralegals and law students come from preeminent law schools in Los Angeles such as: USC, UCLA, Loyola, Southwestern, Pepperdine and Southwest College.
